Please note: Economy Bonds does not write bonds for C-39 (roofing) or C-53 (swimming pool) contractors. These bonds are available through Construction Services Insurance Agency. You can contact them through their website at www.csia.com.

Instructions For Obtaining A Bond:

1. Complete the application, including signatures from all the necessary parties as well as their requested information.
2. Make a check payable to Economy Bonds & Insurance Services for the term or your choice or fill out the credit card portion of the application.
3. Mail the above to us at:

   If paying by credit card, you may also fax it to us at

4. The state now accepts electronic submissions of bonds. This greatly speeds up the processing of the bond. Unless you request differently, we will electronically submit your bond to the CSLB as soon as we process your application. You no longer need to turn in a bond with your paperwork to the state.

It’s as simple as that! You should receive a copy of your bond in the mail shortly after it is filed with the state. Approximately two weeks later, you’ll receive a plastic ID card with your bond information.
